The following are the recommended preparation instructions for instant mashed potatoes:
For a large single serving, bring 250mL (1 1/4 cup) of water to a vigorous boil and
gradually add 50g (1/4 cup) of granules while constantly stirring. Do not beat. Let stand
1-2 minutes. Water and granule quantities may be adjusted to provide the desired texture. Milk may be substituted
for part or all of the water content. Add desired butter, salt, and seasonings to your particular taste.
